The President of the United States, Donald Trump, is about to complete his first year in office. In this article written by Ryan Lizza, he writes about what Trump has accomplished in his first year in office, and how it may affect his presidency. For most Presidents of the United States, their first year as President is when they accomplish the most out of their entire term(s). Donald Trump has not had any "major legislative accomplishments" so far in his presidency. On December 8th the money to fund the Federal Government runs out and if the G.O.P Tax Bill is not passed, the government will shut down on the 8th. This Tuesday (11/28/17) Trump is meeting with Paul Ryan, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, and Chuck Schumer to discuss the issue. With President Trump attempting to have a major accomplishment in his first year as president, as well as, prevent a government shutdown on December 8th; there's no question as to why "All of this make[s] December crucial for the White House."
